Dear friends:

On my jewelry web site Immortal Gems at:

http://www.immortalgems.com

I have a section called Info (see menu at top). In the middle of the page I have a box which asks visitors to subscribe to a free newsletter from Mondera. But how do I actually create this Newsletter Setup? Is this a javascript issue? Or a CGI issue. What program should I use to create this set-up?

Would really appreciate your help.

Thank you.

You could have a look at this, and see if it's what you're after. :)

I would also recommend Mojo.

It is a CGI (PERL) script.

Dear degsy and lufbra:

Thanks so much. Will look into it (it's now called Dada) and any other related programs.

Some time ago I looked around, but that one looked to be the best freebie out there. Many others have a fee, and that fee more often than not depends upon how many sign up to the newsletter. :(

Another option, and this just depends upon what the content of your newsletter would be, but I know you have a forum, if it's like the one here at CTH or Invisionboard, it'll have a "Bulk Mail" feature, so you can send mail to all the members.....Just a thought. :)

Dear lufbra:

A great suggestion, but probably for a different project. Visitors to the jewelry site will probably just want to leave their email address. I don't think they would care to register for a forum. And there would no point to having a forum. But it's a good suggestion to keep in mind for the future.

check out bravenet.com for collecting email addresses and newsletters. You can also check this (http://cgi.resourceindex.com/Programs_and_Scripts/Perl/Mailing_Lists/)out for free scripts.
