Is it possible to delete an email w/o opening it? I am referring to obvious spam. I would appreciate help with this. Thanks in advance.

highlight it then delete it. Turn off the preview pane as suggested in the previous email. You can also use software such as mailwasher (http://www.mailwasher.net/) where you can delete the email at the server and not have to download it first.
