A story with a moral from the BBC program ‘My Word’ from MANY years ago.
It went something like this:-
In the poorest part of Africa lived a tribe whose houses were nothing but huts made from grass. They scratched in the dust and dirt searching for enough to exist on.
But one day they found diamonds in the dirt and immediately the tribe became fabulously rich. The Chief decided to have a gold throne made which would be encrusted in diamonds. The plan was for the Chief to throw a huge party, inviting all the neighbouring tribes. At the height of the feast, he would go into his hut and then, seated on his thrown, be carried shoulder high by his tribe out into the midst.
So all went to plan. It was now time for the Chief to go to his hut and climb onto the throne but when he went in, he discovered that the throne had been stolen!!!
Now the moral:-
People who live in grass houses, shouldn’t stow thrones!
