I've been dying to use this ever since I got DSL. However, the download is extremely slow because the upload is zero. So I opened all the ports in my modem using Bimap. However my upload is still zero. I turned off Norton Internet security. Still no upload. What gives? Is there a way of checking which ports are open? Are there any experts on BitTorrent (BitTornado)?

You need to open ports 6881-6889 and 6969. Make sure there checked to be both TCP and UDP. In your DSL modem this will need to be setup more then likely through "Port Forwarding" and any other program that has a firewall.

A very good Bit Torrent faq can be found here http://dessent.net/btfaq/ There is a section on how to increase download speed and lots of troubleshooting. You can always try using another client such as ABC or something to see if that speeds of your downloads.
