From what I can remember....go to control panel>mouse...there should be an option to disable "point and click"

I think you'll find this in Folder Options - Windows Explorer, Tools > Options.
First Tab. (sorry, not anywhere near a 9x PC at the moment).

Hi EnmimaRaS. Try this, go to Start > Run and type:
regedit and OK. Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Mouse (click on the + so that the Mouse key is open). Look in the righthand pane, is there a value named ActiveWindowTracking? If so, rightclick on it and choose Modify. Where it says Value Data, type: 0 (BTW..that is a zero not an O) And OK Exit your registry editor and reboot. If not, go to Edit > New > DWORD Value and name it ActiveWindowTracking. When you have done this, rightclick on it and choose Modify. Where it says Value Data, type: 0 (see above) And OK. Exit your registry editor and reboot. Let us know if this helped. If there is anything that you are not sure of, post back rather than go ahead and make a mistake.

Hi there. Haven't given up yet...
What sort of mouse do you have? Does it have a "helper" application running (like Logitechs MouseWare). Start>settings>control panel>mouse - How many TABs can you see?
