trial dvd player doesnt play dvds

hi please could some one help me i downloaded ULEAD dvd player the free trial for 30 days and when i put a dvd in nothing happens i have tryed a few dvd players and got the same results the only one that would play a dvd was win dvd player could some one tell me why and how i can get ULEAD to work many thanks diane

Hi again diane118, I noticed on the download page that you have to have Microsoft DirectX 9 installed and they offer a download link if you dont. To find out what version of DirectX is installed, go to Start > Run and type:

dxdiag.exe

and OK. A dialogue box will open with lots of information including the version you have installed on your PC. What does it say?
