I am having ttremndous problems accessing secured web sites. I have tried everything I can find on CTH.

try this, go to tools, internet options, security, and change it to default level. If that does not work, are you behind a firewall? If so, which one.

see if anything here will help. Also if you are behind a router, try bypassing it and see what happens.

Can you access the sites with a different browser, such as Mozilla/Firefox?

I would recommend it.

It's always good to have a second browser, just incase.

Ok I tried Firefox and it wouldn't connect. I downloaded everything ok but at the very end of the dl it wouldn't connect to firefox
IE works good except for the problem above which includes not being able to DL windows update.
I must have something running that is stopping me. Is there a list of minimum processes that are needed to run ie?
The error I get when trying to dl update is 0x80072EFD . I did exactly what they tell you to and that didn't work.
