i picked up this ibm at an estate sale. it has WINDOWS NT on it. How can I get past the password? the screen says to press CRT/ALT/DELETE to sign on so I did but then it needs a password and that's as far as i can go. does anyone know how i can get pass this problem. thanks kuzzz

Sorry Kuzzz, we can't help you with that question.
Best option - format the drive and install another OS or even reinstall NT if you have the install disks & licence.

okay thanks i was just hoping not to have to format and start from scratch. i've never dealt with NT does it use fat32? if it doesn't how do i make it fat32 to install win98SE?

NT doesn't use FAT32. You can only use FAT16 or NTFS 4, or NTFS 5 if it has SP4 installed. If you are not concerned with using NT, just wipe it and start again with a Win98SE Startup disk, FDISK>reboot>FORMAT Be sure to answer Yes when asked if you want to enable large disk.
