Block Port 5000

Hi,

Not sure if this correct place but:

I downloaded LPS (Local Port Scan) and it came up with port 5000 opened:

Warning! Trojan port 5000 open

How can I block this port? I tried looking on my firewall but can't find any where to block it.

Goto grc.com and run the shields up test.

See what it says for the status of the port.

I did that test and it came up:

5000
UPnP
Stealth There is NO EVIDENCE WHATSOEVER that a port (or even any computer) exists at this IP address!


So should I be worried on what I got when I did the port scan before?

The scan you used is internal and reported the port as open.

That doesn't mean that it is available to the outside world.

If you have a Firewall then it will block outside access to the port.
