Uninstall the modem and reinstall.
Could be that modem has reached its end in life and you require a new one that are not expensive.

Welcome :)
Look in Device Manager to see if the Modem is installed correctly.
A corrupt device will be shown by a exclaimation mark.
Goto Control Panel>Modems>
use the diagnostics to see if the modem is working.
Did you have it plugged in during any recent storms?

Hi Loco,
Please try these steps to troubleshoot your modem
1. If you using a internal modem, remove the modem from the pci slot and
insert the modem to another pci slot.
2. Uninstall your current modem driver and install the driver one more
3. Check Device manager. If your modem is there go to
control panel>modem>diagnostics>select your modem and click "more info"
If you get replay from your modem. Your modem is working properly.
4. If you didnt get replay please try a new modem.
Thank you.
