Unhappy GOOGLE remembering sites iv visited..

hello i could do with some help simple question..and im sure theres a simple solution

....in my 'google' the computer automatically remembers every search iv ever made.so when i type something into the search box and a box appears underneath sisting all the things iv searched that start with the same letters etc ..I HATE IT. it means that everyone can see what iv been looking up which makes me paranoid..there must be an easy way to get rid of this box? i rememebr clicking agreeing to the option to have my comp do this not really knowing what it would do so there must be a way of reversing my choice right?

i just have no idea how to because its a new comp

Welcome to CTH

The simpliest way of doing it is this:
1) Go to google.com
2) Double Click the box where you enter your search text
3) mouse over the first item in the list
4) Hold down the delete (not backspace) key until they are all gone
5) Do this for other websites you commonly fill in information for, you might want to check the other sections of google

Welcome

If you are using Internet Explorer then goto Internet Options>Content>AutoComplete
Uncheck/Clear the appropriate boxes.

You can also goto the General tab to clear the Temporary Internet Files, History and Cookies.
