Hey...Please give me a hand if you can. I just recently came across my old laptop and decided to put some older games on it. The Laptop is running Windows 95 and for some reason when i insert a CD into the CD-Rom Drive it doesnt autorun so i decided to go via My computer to open the D:/ Drive and find the install program myself. Upon clicking the D:/ Drive icon in My Computer i get the Following error:
D:\ is not accessible
The Device is not ready
I can either retry or cancel and retrying yeilds the same result...Ive tried simply rebooting, cleaning the lense with isopropyl alcohol (rubbing alcohol)...but nothing has worked. Even worse its been so long since ive used the Laptop that when i tried to reinstall the drivers via the device manager i found that in the CD-Roms drive's Properties the only 2 tabs are "General" and "Settings"...No "Driver" Tab in sight....Someone please help me get this damn Cd-Rom Drive Working again!!!!! Thanks
