Win 2000 won't run config.sys corrupted

I get a line telling me the config.sys is corrupted, start computer from win 2000 cd-rom. Tried that. Computer won't read cd-rom. Tried hitting f-8; still won't read cd-rom. Made boot disk-won't boot off of floppies.

Tried going back through f-8 key to boot on last known good configuration; won't allow me.

Help!
