Typing change in IE6 address bar

In the past I used to be able just to type in just the name of the site I wanted it would then fill in the http:// and then go to that site. Now when I type in the site name all I get is http:///?%20(the name I type). Is there anything to correct this?

This sounds like a bodged spyware removal to me, %20 is a space character. Can you post a hijack this log please?

Is the http:// prefix problem in Internet Explorer or in Netscape? I can't see anything in the log which gives me cause for concern, although second opinions are welcomed as always

The problem is only with IE. Netscape is fine.
