Welcome :)

Make sure you have backup up your data.

Boot from the Win2000 CD and choose new installation.
From there you can format the drive then install the OS.

I loaded the Win2000 Cd but it do anything.
So would I have to restart my computer and put in the bootdisk
and the Win2000 Cd or what? Also how would I back up my data?

Best way to backup your data is onto a CD or DVD.

If you insert the Win2000 CD and then boot the PC it should boot from the CD and start the setup.

If your PC is not setup to boot from CD then you can change the Boot Device in the BIOS.

Otherwise you can create the 6 startup floppy disks.

Alright then I put the Win2000 Cd in my Rom drive and nothing happened. Now how you would change the Boot Device in the BIOS? Cause like I said I really don't know anything about my computer. That and I downloaded the disk that you had posted but instead of 6 boot disk I got 4 disk.

sorry, W2K is 4 disks.

To enter the BIOS look on screen when you boot your PC, or look in the manual.

Alright I changed the Bios to run my Cd Rom first but nothing happened
it still didn't run Win2000. So now what should I do? Would I be able to
to format my computer if I put the boot disk and the Win2000 Cd Rom in
the drive and do it that way or an I stuck with this Operating Systems
on my computer.

You can create the 4 floppy disks and then boot from the first one to start the setup.

Alright then after I creat the boot disk and I restart my computer with the 1 disk after that what would I do? because I have tired that and it always asks for the second disk. Or should I run the computer with all of the disks and then see if it will let me format the computer that way??

Yeah, You see I already have the 4 boot disk for win2000 and after I restart my computer with my first disk in the floppy drive it always asks for the second disk and then so on. So then I was wondering if I could just install all of the boot disk again and then go from there.

The 4 bootdisks can be used to start the setup, then it needs the CD.

Yes, you should be able to do what you suggested.

Alright then, Is there any way that you can tell me step by step how
go do this so this doesn't get messed up to where I have to have someone
come out here to fix my computer. like do I have to run "Fdisk" at all cause if so I don't know who to do that.

thanks for your help
