Windows NT 4.0 , INstalled new hard drive, built system from scratch. upone boot up the OS loads and continues on but when I do a restart, I get a "1782 Hard Disk Controller Failure" then and "F1 to boot" then " No boot partition located, please insert diskette and press any key to continue" .

If I do a cold bot after that the OS Loads . If I just do a control alt delete the same error comes up.

Has anyone had this problem?

Theese are the specs.

Hey buddy your problem occurs because of the timing between your hard disk and its controller you can read here (http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;232819&Product=nts40) to find out more about the problem and how to fix it.
