ok i have lost my main Admin password too OS X 10.2.8, i know that you can use the CD to reset your passwords, but my CDrom drive is dead in my power book G4, what i would like to try and do is reset my password with out having to reformat the hard drive, i have been told you can do so by holding down command-s to through you in to a unix bass, i type all the code lines that where given too me and it is still not working. if some one could tell me how to use and exturnal CD drive to boot from the CD that would be great cuz i have tryed that also and it has not worked
