Hi

i'm trying to setup a network at home. one comp has xp pro and the other has 95a. the xp comp is all up and working fine but the laptop is giving me difficulties as it isn't able to access the network.

it has a linksys 10/100network card model np100-wm

following configuration:

client for microsoft networks
client for netware network
network everywhere 10/100 pc card (np100)
ipx/spx-compatible protocol
NetBEUI
File and printer sharing for Microsoft Networks

Client for Microsoft Networks is set as the Primary Network Logon and
both options to give others the access to share files and printers are checked under the File and Print Sharing option

the kicker is that i don't get the Network Logon , i get the windows logon screen and i guess that doesn't do the trick to log me into the network. i tried then changing the primiary logon to the windows logon hoping i would do it, but nope no such luck.

any help would be great:)

thanks
tk
