Howdy:

How many "beeps" and are they in a specific order - ie: 1 beep>pause>2 beeps>pause etc??

Okay.. based on your problem could be one of two things..

IBM BIOS = 1 long, 3 short beepsEnhanced Graphics Adapter (EGA)

Have you changed your video card just before the problem started??

What about adding memory??

AMI BIOS = 1 Long, 3 Short BeepsYou've probably just added memory to the motherboard since this is a conventional or extended memory failure. Generally this is caused by a memory chip that is not seated properly. Reseat the memory chips.

thanx murry, well all that i have done was add ad-aware recently.
and the blank sceen is not giving me any error messages to go on.
i just want to be able to see something first on the screen during start up. mabey that will help. i'm really grateful for all your help as u can see i'm no comp whiz, still an infant.

thanx again
