Unanswered Questions

Is there anyway a link could be put up next to the "Get New Posts" that is "Unanswered Problems" that would show the following:

All Posts within the past year with 0 replies from all forum's excluding the open disscussion, jokes, software & downloads(the subforum of applications), and comments forums, sorted in order from the first posting date with the oldest postings listed first.

I did a manual search that came up with something similar...we are doing pretty good, only about 15 pages of unanswered posts. (-edit, I thinkt there might be a 15 page limit to the searches)

Sometimes I feel that this would be good because since CTH has become so large unanswered posts get buried quickly.

I suppose what I would really love (but would probably never happen due to security reasons) would be a way to code my own custom searches so I could make them highly advanced. (example, show all threads I didn't start but I replied to (excluding the open discussion, jokes, etc) where I was not the most recent post, thus showing all the questions I've not followed up on)

Different boards have different set ups, the board type I use (Invisionboard) has the ability to "purge" posts, and they can be moved to another forum. The only thing about this idea, is that there'd be no "categorizing" the posts (XP, ME, Internet/Browsers etc). Also, if help is given, do the posts get moved back? :)

it's unfortunate if a valid post is unanswered but hopefully the posted will post back to bump the post.

If you now open the Quick Links menu at the top of every CTH Forum page you will see a link for "Todays unanswered topics".

This will do exactly as it says :)

I don't know if I'm technically allowed to say anything but...I notice there's not just a problem with questions being unanswered, but with questions that start to be answered but never get far enough to fix the problem because they get buried so quickly. Is there anyway to fix that?

The poster should reply to the problem to bring back the attention.

It's unfortunate that posts do get lost, but it's a busy board and people have busy lives.
