View Full Version : Open a VPN at Boot Time

I have an application that runs on an unattended Windows 2000 computer. How can I cause a VPN connection to be opened any time the computer boots? If I double-click the icon for the VPN I've created everything is fine. If I place a shortcut to the VPN in the startup folder the VPN does not open.

On a related note, is there a command line tool I could use to check whether a particular VPN is open and connected? I would like to periodically check to see if everything is okay and have the computer email me a status report.

Thanks in advance for advice or pointers,

Tim
