I don't know if this is the right forum, but hopefully someone can help me. I've been playing the game "Medal of Honor - Allied Assault" for a couple years, and I've downloaded quite a few mods and maps for it over that time. Well, I thought to free up some space on my drive that I would delete these mods and start fresh. I think I may have deleted a file that I shouldn't have. The game wouldn't load. No problem I thought, I'll just uninstall the game and reinstall it. I go into the Add/Remove programs and delete it. It says that it is deleted, but when I look in the Add/Remove programs list, it's still there. So next I just insert the original game disk in the CD drive and try to run it from there. It starts to install, but I get a little popup that looks like this: Component transfer error

component: ereg files
file group: ereg files
file:
error: System cannot find
the path specified.

I'm at a loss right now. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks alot.
Oh, by the way, I am running Windows 98.

Have you tried deleting the folders that the game resides in? Also have you tried removing all traces of the game from the registry?

Benny Is right, I have had this problem before, If you clean out the registry of everything EA Games and Medal Of Honor it should be able to install again. Mine Did.
