strange things

had this problem for awhile but its more of an annoyance on 'me'..

start>settings>taskbar and start menu>advanced>

sometimes when i press 'clear' my pc hangs.. its not accessing the driver or nothing, and i have to reboot to stop it.. anyone know why it does it?
