ya all know microsoft will stop support/downloads for 'me' in 2006 but i wanna keep my 'me' as a few programs prefer it to 'xp' as do i personally.. how do i create a duel boot system?
ie when my pc starts up it goes somthing like
Choose Boot Method:-
A) c:\ Windows ME
B) d:\ Windows XP professional/Home Edition
then whatever i press it starts up the relevant one..

Hi,
Its quite easy.
(Some of the wording mentioned below may vary slightly, I'm doing this from memory!)
Start the installation of XP whilst in ME.
It will detect ME and ask if you want to upgrade. Say NO, and select New Installation.
Select the Advanced Options and tell it you will choose where to put it(which partition)during initial setup.
After restart setup will give you the option to set partitions and format them, just make sure that you don't go over the top of the ME installation!! (Don't worry you will be able to see it in the list)
After setup has finished you will be given the boot options when you start. It will probably set XP as the default but you can change that by editting the boot.ini file in your main partion.
Good Luck.

Your guess is correct. You won't be able to access your XP partition from ME while XP is formatted as NTFS. You can view ME from XP.
NTFS is better in a security sense, and it makes better use of clusters. But, if viewing both partitions from either OS is your prime concern, you'd have to reformat it as FAT32.
