Good morning all,

A couple of months ago, I reformatted the hard drive and installed Windows ME. Now people told me that Windows ME is too unstable (crashes) and dont installed it. I ran Windows ME a couple of months later, well, it is a little unstable compare what I had before, Windows 98 SE. Is there something I can do to make Windows ME more stable? I already configured the startup programs. Anything else?

Thank you.

My WinME setup is fine.

Unstable depends on what errors you have,
Are they software or hardware based?

I think it is software, not hardware, I got no problem with the hardware part.

Oh yeah, I rechecked my startup programs, I am alittle confused what I need to run.

These are startup programs that I dont know and afraid to disable them

ctfmon.exe
scanregw.exe
taskmon.exe
PCHschd.exe
statemgr.exe
mosearch.exe

You can disable the office startups if you wish

ctfmon.exe
mosearch.exe
