Backup/Restore problem HELP PLEASE

hi.
I did a backup using windows 'backup'
when i restored the drive .
most of my programs will not run.
I cannot uninstall them either as they are not showing up in add/remove.

I did post this elsewhere but thought i'd try here as i've had no replies yet

Hi grimthought, backing up files using WinXP backup and restoring them does not achieve the same result as imaging a drive using a program like Ghost or Drive Image. See more information here (http://kadaitcha.cx/backup.html). I am not really sure what you have done though. Did you reinstall XP and then restore your backups? If not, how did you "restore the drive"?
