is there any way i can get into msdos before the computer starts to boot up fully, i have put in the boot disk but the screen says remove disk and press any key to continue anby help appreciated

Where did you get the bootdisk?
It may be faulty.

Hi russt,

Perhaps the boot disk is faulty and the system is not recognizing it as a bootable system disk. Try creating a new startup disk by d/loading the file to create the disk from here (http://bootdisk.com/bootdisk.htm). Click on the link for Windows ME OEM and d/load the file to hard drive (do NOT d/load the file directly to floppy disk, as this does NOT create the startup disk!!). Once the file has been d/loaded, put a formatted floppy disk in the drive, then double-click on the d/loaded file in order to create the startup disk.

Try booting from the newly created startup disk.
