'ghost' Drive

Hi there Team People
Having recovered with Striders help from an ME crash I am busying tidying p my system. I recently installed a Iomega CD burner (unfortunately) defective. I have removed the drive and software but I am left with an entry in 'My Computer' and System Information for a removeable drive. It does not appear in the device list of Control Panel/System/Device Manager. Any ideas how I can get remove the last bit of whatever that is creating this ghost??

One option would be to reinstall the program then disable the removable drive option and then uninstall it.

a work around would be to use a Tweaking program to hide the drive.
TweakUI has this option.

Re-installing did not work so downloaded TweakUI, unchecked drives G-Z and restarted - no visibility of ghost now
