We have a home network, Cat5. My daughter is on the network and is able to use our shared DSL (Sygate software) with no problem. But I cannot get any other computers to show up in Network Neighborhood. Any ideas? Everything is shared, and no other computers on the network have any problems.

Hi,
This could take some time. http://www.cybertechhelp.com/ubb/wink.gif The problem is most likely the TCP/IP settings. In the TCP/IP, do you have the IP Address checked to Specify an IP address, and have the IP Address and Subnet Mask filled in? In the IP Address the last Octet should be different for each computer.
Did you choose a Workgroup name? It needs to be the same for all computers.
File and Print Sharing needs to be enabled.
Primary Network Logon should be "Client for Microsoft Netwroks".

YES to all of the above. The Internet sharing would not work if the TCP/IP settings were not correct. But I triple-checked them anyway.

Hmmmm, well I'll be dang. Somethin' is amiss. I run a LAN with 4 computers and cable web access, but yet I can't think of what is missing. So try this link and see if it helps ya. http://help-data.excite.com/members/homenetwork/index.htm
It's @home's web site which I have, but this is some good info that may bail ya out.

Here's one more place to try: http://www.linksys.com/support/support.asp?spid=39
Sometimes it helps to have a clear guide to take you thru the steps.

Just thought of something you wrote.
Your quote: "The Internet sharing would not work if the TCP/IP settings were not correct."
Yes it could. The internet sharing is being handled by Sygate. That is if you are using it as a Proxy where one of your LAN computers is acting as the Server, and the others as a client routing thru the LAN Server.
I've had this happen on my LAN where one of my client computers could access the web thru the LAN Server (as stated above), but that same computer couldn't be seen on the LAN by the other three computers.
A setting in the TCP/IP had got changed for various reasons and had to be changed back. Now I can't remember what setting it was, I just spot those things when they happen. That's one bad thing about me trying to help you now, I can't see your setup. http://www.cybertechhelp.com/ubb/frown.gif
*Question: Is your LAN setup for web access as a direct access for each computer? Meaning, each computer is plugged in to a switch as well as the DSL router being plugged in to the switch? Or is the router plugged in to the LAN Server which is plugged in to a hub or switch? There are various ways to setup. I'm just trying to understand your setup.
What version of windows are you running? Lots of info is needed about your setup. There can be several different configuations.
