The missus and I went off to the Fleet Center (Boston) tonight, to see Phil Collins. He was great although he's certainly beginning to age. The concert lasted around 2 1/4 hours, it started with him and Chester Thompson doing what must have been a 15 minute drumming bash. Then Phil went into doing many of his solo singles. For me, the highlight of it all was saved for the last, an absotootly awesome rendition of "Take Me Home", but all in all it was a great concert, and the fans loved it too. :)

The downside of it all, the tickets were going for $45, $65, and $95, we got the $45 ones, from our view, Phil looked like an ant!!! We also took the "T" into Boston, that's what the UK folks here would call the Underground.......Never again, it was horrid :(

Hi Lufbra

Don't know much about the star of the show, but I did take a few rides on the T while in Boston, thought it was OK. The only other rubber tyre underground I've encountered was in Paris on the metro line that runs along under the Champs-Elysée.

Interesting isn't it, Subway in NY, Metro in Paris, Tube in London, the T in Boston, Underground in Sydney, U-Bahn in Berlin, wonder what other names exist in other parts of the world? BF

I saw him back when Peter Gabriel sang and he just sat in the back ;)

Too bad I won't get to see him again. Glad you did tho, Lufbra. :)

He's a great guy, so down to earth really, I'll never forget the Live Aid concerts where he performed in the UK, then flew over here to the perform in the US concert at Philly I believe. :)

Too bad I never got to see him in concert, but there's many good ones I've never seen. Last concert I saw was ZZ Top last July. Too many musicians, too little time.

I saw Phil on some program a couple days ago and he says he had a viral infection in an ear in 2000 and he's been having some problems that are aggravated by the kind of music done on tour. He still plans to make studio music and occasional acoustic style concerts. I'm just glad there'll be more music, his songs on the Brother Bear soundtrack made it a much better film.
