No files show up in any explorer window.

Hello,

I have this huge problem. I cannot explore for any files or directories because no icons or their names show up in the windows. On the bottom of the windows, it says that there are so many objects but nothing shows up but a blank white screen. In a possibly related issue, my Internet Explorer doesn't work. It says that a page is done downloading but once again, it displays nothing but a blank white screen. Please help me. Thanks in advance.

all folders or just specific ones? did you try different views?

I tried different views but the same results. No files or folders show up no matter what type. On the bottom of the window, it says the number of files that should show up but none do.
