Hi,
I'm having problems with the sound on my computer, namly i can hear any. Having no sound, includes the start up, internet sound and media player sounds.
I don't think it's a problem with the speakers bacause i've tried with head phones and still have problems. My volume is on :P and i'ved tried following the various help programs on windows. I'm pretty computer dumb and don't really know what i'm talking about, so I just put in things i could think of that might help. If you need more information just ask.
thanks,

Hi galya,

Double-click on the volume control icon (looks like a speaker) in the System Tray near the clock in order to open the master volume control. Under Master Volume (first item on left), if there is a checkmark in the checkbox beside "Mute all", click in the checkbo to clear the checkmark. If there is no volume control icon in the System Tray, open Control Panel and double-click on the Sounds and Multimedia applet. Under the Sounds tab, near the bottom in the SoundVolume section, click in the checkbox beside "Show volume control on the taskbar" in order to place a checkmark there, then click on Apply then OK. If the "Show volume control on the taskbar" is greyed out, then you need to reinstall the sound drivers.

right click "My Computer> Properties> Device Manager Tab" Try to see it there's a yellow mark or exclamation point of certain hardware, like "MULTIMEDIA"...This means that u need a driver for ur soundcard.
