Can someone please give me a recommendation on some home networking kits. This is what I have and what im looking to do: I have a main PC in an office upstairs. Its a p3 700 with a cable modem connection. Im going to be buying a laptop in the next couple weeks. I would like to be able to setup a wireless network so that I can sit downstairs with my laptop and surf the web in front of the TV... in my easy chair http://www.cybertechhelp.com/ubb/smile.gif I have about 300.00 to spend on the kit. Any feedback would be appreciated.

How will this work? Will the network cable from the cable modem plug into the wirless lan gateway box now instead of into my network card? Does that mean i need to install another type of network card? I am fine on how my laptop will connect but im still confused on how i will have to setup my pc. I dont want to lose speed on my pc.
