Hey gang...Wondering if I could get help finding out why I lose internet connection so often. Im running three computers sharing the same cable modem, all 3 computers have recently been cleaned using Norton, Spybot, Ad-aware and spywareblaster with the awesome help from Cybertech...I using the Surfboard SB5100 modem and the Netgear WGR614 v3 wireless router. Two PC's are hardwired to the router and one is running wireless, problem is just like last night, Im just surfing the web and lost connection 4 to 5 times in about a 20 min. period?...Only way to get back my connection is to shutdown, unplug modem for approx. 30 secs., plug it back in, let it sinc and reboot pc, and it works...Also when Im gaming on Counterstrike, I'll freeze up and then the top of screen will say: Warning: losing internet connection. For some strange reason I don't seem to have any problems running the Nascar 2003 game online. I understand this could be a tough one to figure out. but some folks love a challenge..lol..By the way I have high speed internet with Cox.

Im guessing its your internet service provider. Maybe cuz your using too much bandwidth playing CS, and it timed you out. I had a similar problem when I had hi speed cable. Im not sure if its thesame problem. I complained and now I have no problems.
