Cat Stevens deported (http://news.independent.co.uk/world/americas/story.jsp?story=564736). Man if I had a choice of artist we should be rid of in the US I am not sure he would have made the list. Will I have to get rid of my music? I would not want to be viewed as a sympathizer.

Here is his side (http://catstevens.com/) of the story.

These words have seemed to change for me. :(

Now I've been happy lately, thinking about the good things to come
And I believe it could be, something good has begun

Oh I've been smiling lately, dreaming about the world as one
And I believe it could be, some day it's going to come

Cause out on the edge of darkness, there rides a peace train
Oh peace train take this country, come take me home again

Now I've been smiling lately, thinking about the good things to come
And I believe it could be, something good has begun

Oh peace train sounding louder
Glide on the peace train
Come on now peace train
Yes, peace train holy roller

Everyone jump upon the peace train
Come on now peace train

Get your bags together, go bring your good friends too
Cause it's getting nearer, it soon will be with you

Now come and join the living, it's not so far from you
And it's getting nearer, soon it will all be true

Now I've been crying lately, thinking about the world as it is
Why must we go on hating, why can't we live in bliss

Cause out on the edge of darkness, there rides a peace train
Oh peace train take this country, come take me home again

He publicly called for the death of Salmon Rushdie a few years back. From 'Tea for the Tillerman' to...I dunno..."Death for the Infidel'?

Nothing wrong with Islam, but I have a problem with "I'm right - kill everyone else."

There is a lot not being told on either side. However, I do think there is such a thing as going too far when it comes to preventing terrorism.

Releasing singles like " I'm gonna get me a gun " can't have helped. Maybe he is being followed by a Moon Shadow.

I stand corrected. He's alright. The 'kill Rushdie' comment was misrepresented by the interviewer. He's since gone on to do some pretty cool things (largely unnoticed, apparently).

Let 'im fly. :)
