We have a situation where 1 manager in our business needs to see the server of a sister company. The servers are in the same room but are not linked togeter and they don't want them linked. We have 2 cat 5 ports in each office that lead to the server room.
My question is, would there be a way to put a A/B switch in the one office that needs to access the other server or do we need to add a second network card to the system that needs access to this server and if so how card be configured so as not to conflict with the primary card?

I would think it would be preferable to get this set up in some way that the two servers can both be visible at the same time.

What kinds of server are we talking about, and what Operating system are we using on the manager's machine?

An A/B switch would work, but you would probably have to reboot your machine everytime you wanted to look at a different server.

You should have no problem setting up a second network card in the computer either.
