Formatted now no sound and color resultion

I Have a HP Pavilion XT983 ... It had XP Home and i formatted and installed 98SE,When i rebooted i no longer have sound and my Screen Resulution will not go up it only has 2bit and 32bit

..can anyone tell me what to do or how to find out what my drivers are please please

Download, install and run either Everest Home Edition or Belarc Advisor. Both will inventory your computer and tell you the make/model of "display adapter" (video card) and sound card. With that information, you can do a search on the net for drivers.
