Have you tried going into Control Panel, Add/Remove programs? It should be located in there. If so then remove it.

Hi Dodge :)
yeah that was one of the first things I tried, but it required the network server to remove the app. I downloaded Startup Cop in the hopes that that would give me the option to disable it, but NO, evil Bill Gates has other plans *sigh* I've looked in system.ini, win.ini, config.sys, and autoexec.bat and remmed out everything that remotely has to do with a network. I've also viewed bootlog.txt and have no leads. The only thing I can think of is that 'windows logon' is selected [cant remember where right now], but that was the only option in that area. hmmmm any other suggestions?

I'm using win/98, so I am trying to remember the 95 setup.
Go into control panel, network. Change the Client for Microsoft network to Microsoft family logon. That should change your longon.

Hi Dodge
There was only 'windows logon' as an option, but I solved the prob. I'd eliminated all OS possibilities, then I remembered real player had an option to add/remove itself from systray. I did a bit of hunting and found the correct toggle in netware :D
Thanks again for the suggestions :)
