help with error message when trying to print photo

hi please could someone help me to help my friend she has her camera conected to her pc and has downloaded her photo but when she tries to print them it comes up with this message

there was an error writing to usb deskjet 840c/huobtiy35pky for the printer /hp deskjet 840cseriest there was a problem printing due to unknown system error restart windows and then try printing again

we have tryed restarting but the same thing happen many thanks diane

Enter the control panel and double click on printers, right click on the one you wish to use and go properties and check that it is set up correctly, USB selected.. all drivers working correctly.. use the toolbox or on the main start programs are Hp Toolbox to test the printers connectivity.. check power and that all cables are safley in place.
