weird music stuff...

i have a toshiba pentium laptop with windows 98se that i got that had NO PROBLEMS whatsoever when i first got it. then after about 2 weeks it would play music off a data cd and then after like 40seconds it would stop....load...and play a couple seconds more until stopping and going to the next song. btw theres no internet hooked up to it so i dont think there could be viruses and stuff. thanks to anyone who can help me! :wave:

Viruses can also be loaded onto your computer through an infected floppy disk, CD-Rom or other storage device.

Do a virus Scan and then run Ad-Aware and Spybot Search & Destroy.

Also download and run CCleaner (http://www.ccleaner.com/)
