Cannot see Remote Desktop Connection [Archive] - Cyber Tech Help Support Forums

Hi,
i am trying to remotely connect to work - XP pro at work, XP home at home.
The problem i have is that I dont have (cannot see) the remote desktop connection option under programs->accessories->communication->..

When i try to install remote desktop from Win Xp home CD I get a message: " ..already has a built in version see programs/accessories/communication/remote destop connection"

does anyone know how i can remedy this - any help greatly appreciated.

Try downloading it from Microsoft's web site and installing.

Keep in mind that you can also launch the RDP client by going to Start > Run > type MSTSC > hit enter.

Also keep in mind that you can find the RDP client in c:\windows\system32\mstsc.exe. If you are simply missing a shortcut, you can create it from the EXE.
