NETWORKING

An easy question but not for me! I am about to network two computers, mine will be the one connected to the internet via a cable modem and the other, in another part of the house will connect to the internet through it. OK the kids will use that one and I don't want them accessing the files on my main computer and messing them up whether by 'accident' or whatever. At work we are networked and everybody has their own file on the server protected by password. I'd like to protect my files epecially those in 'my documents' with such a password to make them protected from the other machine. Help please. :eek:

Disable File and Print Sharing in Network Neighborhood. Or you can also double click on My Computer, right click a hard drive partition (such as C, D, or E), click on Sharing and make the settings there.
