Built system October 2003, with Biostar M7NCD Pro mobo and AMD Athlon XP 3600 CPU.
2 months ago started beeping Appx 2 second beep and 4 second pause then
repeat on and on, with monitor blank. Checked every thing-no change. REmoved all boards, except memory..still beeping. Switched CPU, no change.
Called Biostar. They diagnosed a defective board. RMAd board to Newegg. Installed new board...beeping started again. Changed power supply, and got new 133 memory. System still beeps. SEnt back 2nd board and got another.
Installed every thing HD, memory, video board, modem and still beeped.
Due to expected hurricanes, put everything away for 3 weeks. Today I set
up every thing and switched on system. Started up fine, with one short beep,
and windows started. I started reinstalling my soft ware figuring all is now well, when in the middle of installing my sound software, it went blank and
started beeping again. I had tried to get into the bios when it started up
but the bios was blank. No time, date or anything, but Windows started
up OK, then it went back to beeping.

I am running Win 98SE, Maxtor 20 Gig HD, CDR .
Can someone make any suggestions, will appreciate any asssistance.
Thanks in advance,
bocabill

You Bios may not be setup correctly.
Set the date and time, size of hard drive, Bootup sequence for the drives (D:,A:,C:) etc. Ask Biostar for more Bios information and set it up.
