I was on the phone with a tech guy fixing my router and he had me ping something. I got the message "hardware error" and he suggested I delete some things in "Network" (in the Control Panel). Then he told me I just need to reinstall them later and wouldn't help me 'cause wasn't a tech for windows. I didn't know how to reinstall them so I played around with the "Add" option in "Network" and it told me to restart. When I did, it gave me this errror message upon startup:
Cannot find a device file that may be needed to run windows or a windows application.
The windows registry or SYSTEM.INI file refers to this device file, but the device file no longer exists.
If you deleted this file on purpose, try uninstalling the associated application using its uninstall or setup program.
If you still want to use this application associated with this device file, try reinstalling that application to replace the missing file.

When I continued it would only start up in safe mode. Any suggestion on what I can do!? I would be sooo grateful 'cause school is starting up in a few days and I NEED my computer. THANKS!
