I am trying to get my notebook to use my Roadrunner service.
First I tried connecting it through my hub (which was working fine for my second desktop), but it wasn't working so I tried directly connecting the notebook to the cable modem and still got this error message "There is one network adapter in the system and it is configured for DHCP, but it is unable to release/renew an IP address. Error code: 94"
Does any one know what this means?
The problem has happened with two different network adapters, the PCMCIA card ethernet card and also with the F=ma Networks ethernet adapter supplied by roadrunner.
The F=ma adapter works fine with my Dell desktop, but I can't connect through this new notebook. Both machines are running Windows ME. The adapters are installed properly with the driver and bindings as they should be.
Anyway, then I tried interent connection sharing since that's what the Windows ME is always pushing.... I will put this in a separate message since this is getting so long. (sorry)
