I can't delete ICQLiteShell.dll

I can't delete a folder called "ICQLite" in my program files. All other parts of ICQ have already been uninstalled or deleted. I can't delete it because the ICQLiteShell.dll contained within this folder appears to be integrated somehow within my active browser shell. Anyone know how I can get rid of it? There must be some simple registry command to delete the entry, but I cannot find any entries with the letters "ICQ" in them.

Welcome to CTH Mark, I think it installs a Toolbar but that should have been removed with the uninstall. If it's still there, we should be able to get rid of it using Hijack This.

Go here and download the latest version of Hijack This to a new folder on your drive, unzip it and click on scan. Most of the files listed will be harmless and/or required so do not make any changes, just click on Save Log, copy it and post it back in this thread.

Nope, no toolbar. Try this, download Pocket Killbox from here. Paste the full file path of your ICQLite folder in the box and click on Delete on Reboot. Next click on the button with the red circle and an X in the middle. You will get a message saying "File with be deleted on next reboot, Process and Reboot now?" Click "Yes". Did that get rid of it.

BTW, you can download a free AV from here.
