Hi, I want to start anew with my powermac g4. How can I wipe the hard disk and do this. I still have the original boot up CD's that came with it. Do I need anything else? whats the procedure? Please, anyone?

One thing to think about....
Hi,
If you don't use the classic option of os9, then I recommend that you just install the os10, and all the updates you have for it. I just saved all my files to a portable harddrive and then reinstalled panther. I didn't use the reinstall disks since I thought it took up too much space by adding games I don't even use and I do'nt use classic. So I just installed what I wanted. |

One more thing...
To be able to install panther, for example, and don't have the full system disks and only the upgrade cd you need to start with the first full version disk you have. I had to start by using my osX jaguar disk and then selecting erase and install option under the prefrences tab you get when you reboot. To reboot you press "c" after putting the osX disk in. Once you install the full version os, begin the upgrade install. Then make sure to download all the updates for your os.
