Hi, I'm new in this, I have a problem with my computer, I tried to connect it to another computer to transfer files with a parallel cable (very similar to the one used for printers but with two males), but they don't recognize each other, I don't know if I need a certain software or if this is possible at all, so if you can help me out I'll apreciate it.

Hello Dere

(1.)Were you using the direct cable connection option in Windows ? You can access it through Add/Remove Programs in Control Panel.

(2.)The cable needs to be a "crossover" cable that is specially wired so that the transmit line of the originating computer is wired directly to the recieve line of the destination computer and vice versa
