Two nicely dressed ladies happen to start up a conversation while waiting in the LAX airport.

The first lady was an arrogant California woman married to a wealthy man.

The second was a well mannered elderly woman from the South.

When the conversation centered on if they had any children the California woman started by saying, "When my first child was born, my husband built a beautiful mansion for me."

The lady from the South commented, "Well, isn't that precious?"

The first woman continued, "When my second child was born, my husband bought me a beautiful Mercedes-Benz."

Again, the lady from the South commented, "Well, isn't that precious?"

The first woman continued boasting, "Then, when my third child was born, my husband bought me this exquisite diamond bracelet."

Yet again, the Southern lady commented, "Well, isn't that precious??"

The first woman then asked her companion, "What did your husband buy for you when you had your first child?"

"My husband sent me to charm school," declared the Southern lady.

"Charm school??" the first woman cried, "Oh, my God! What on earth for?"

The Southern lady responded, "Well for one thing, instead of saying

'Who gives a sh!t?' I learned to say, "Well, isn't that precious?"

Love the joke:michaelan
But rather see the Charger. I'm a muscle car nut throwback. When all this
motor size in liters came in, I still just gag.
Give me a 440 w/six pak any day. Or my old '70 SS 402 c.i. with 375 HP.
Returning from 'Nam in '67 at ripe old age of 21, I bought '67 candle apple red
Mustang convertible with 289 c.i. and 275 HP. I was proudly driving it home when, at a red light, this raggity ass '55 chevy smoked me bad. Later found out it was a sleeper with about 450 HP. sniffle.
Cheers.

Bad Dog, you can see my '68 Charger here:

It's a 318 with auto tranny on the column. I got it for $4,000.00 and put about $11,000.00 into it.

I also have an ALL STOCK '71 Charger. It is an all numbers matching 440 with 4bbl carb and posi-traction. Also has auto on the column.

You can see a couple of pictures here:

I found the '71 in a barn early this year. It hadn't been driven since the early '80s. It has 74,000 original miles on it. I'm looking to sell it but won't take a dime less than $9,000.00 for it. It looks pretty crusty in the pictures cause I had just taken it out of the barn. I spent about 12 hours buffing the paint, and now it looks pretty good.

what did you use on the red one to get the bodywork so polished? It's a pretty amazing finish.

Didn't do anything special.

The painter shot it with the red base color (Dodge Inferno Red) and then he put 3 or 4 coats of clear on it. About 2 days later he wet sanded the entire car with 1200 or 1400 grit paper then he buffed it out with 3M Finess. That's it.

There is no wax on the car.

WOW! Well I think my old Merc will just get a good going over with Colour Magic seled by Autoglym Super Resin polish again this winter! It's good enough to allow a quick hose down to remove all the road film and salt grit.

I was very lucky that previous owners have always washed it well and kept it waxed nicely, so the base colour hasn't suffered too much in the sun and seaspray over it's 9 years.

I'm right on the Atlantic coast here and the winter gales dump a fair bit of seaspray over everything from October to March, so it's twice weekly with the hose through those months.
