I have a cable modem & just hooked up a lynksys wireless G (WRT54GS) with Speedbooster. My PC works fine, but whenever I use my laptop, my wireless connection becomes disconnected every 10 minutes, and I'm forced to manually reconnect to the network again. Can someone help?
Thanks!

it is a common problem and sometimes hard to pinpoint. Try the following
Go to Control Panel.
• Choose Administrative Tools.
• Select Services. A two-pane window comes up.
• In the right-hand pane, scroll down and click Wireless Zero Configuration.
• Click Stop the Service. A progress bar may come up briefly.
• Click Start the Service. Again, a progress bar may come up.
• Close the Services window.

You may want to check at what rate your wireless connection refreshes or renews IP addresses if set to use DHCP. Your router may be dropping the wireless connection to reassign a new IP address.

I have a similar problem. I've tried a LinkSys ADSL modem/Wireless-G router and wireless network cards. After a while the network goes down and its a hell of a job to re-establish it.
I've now swapped the LinkSys for Belkin kit. Again a combined wireless ADSL/Router and a couple of wireless network cards to link three PCs. All is well for a while then down it goes again - I can't see drives on the other PCs. One thing - I'm using this ADSL/Router just for networking, file sharing etc. I HAVE NOT yet connected it via broadband to the internet. Will making the broadband connection solve this problem???:dizzy: If not - any ideas?
